Cavendish University is glad to announce its Cavendish Excellence Scholarship for top Zambian students to study for free.
These scholarships cover 100% of tuition and applicable fees and are available to first-year undergraduate and transfer students.
Cavendish Excellence Scholarship recipients will be required to attend leadership workshops and participate in peer-mentoring, peer-tutoring, and other intellectually enriching or university marketing work-study initiatives for 15 hours a week. Also, they need to maintain an average of B+ per semester.

Cavendish University Admission Procedures
To be admitted to pursue a program at CUZ, applicants must satisfy the University’s minimum entry requirement for that particular program. Details of these requirements may be found within the descriptions for each course prospectus.
FIRST STEP
A complete application consists of The application forms, transcripts and certificates, and application fees. In some cases, a candidate who applies for admission may be subject to an admissions interview. Interviews are conducted in person or via telephone.

The application fee is ZMW120 and can be deposited in the CUZ bank account, and the deposit slip will be submitted to the CUZ Accounts Office as you submit the application form.

SECOND STEP
The Admissions Committee considers numerous factors, including work experience, academic history, recommendations, personal interviews, and the body of the application itself. One of the essential prerequisites for Undergraduate programs is a top-grade twelve certificate with five credits or better. Mature entry applicants will usually be interviewed to assess their suitability for the program.
For the Postgraduate applications, however, work experience, including a candidate’s work history and current role and responsibilities in their organization, may play a critical role. The minimum qualification is a First Degree or professional qualification in a relevant field.
THIRD STEP
The applicant is contacted within three working days. If accepted, the acceptance letter will contain information about the Programme name, Fees, payment procedures, and exemptions (if any). This stage confirms that a place has been reserved.
FOURTH STEP
Actual Enrollment is completed when a student pays the minimum fee requirements and a student number is allocated to them.

What You Need To Know About Cavendish Excellence Scholarship for Zambians
Because it offers market-relevant and accredited academic programs hosted in its four schools: the School of Medicine, School of Law, School of Business and Information Technology (B.I.T), and School of Arts, Education and Social Sciences (A.E.S.S.).
All CUZ schools and faculties are oriented towards fulfilling the University’s Mission of transforming students into responsible, educated, employable, and entrepreneurial citizens (REEE).
LEVEL / FIELD OF STUDY
This scholarship is open to fresh undergraduate and transfers students in the University.
HOST NATIONALITY:

Cavendish Excellence Scholarship for Zambians ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To qualify for Cavendish University Excellence scholarships, an entering student should meet the following criteria:
- A maximum of 10 points at Grade 12 or an average of A at ‘A’ Level
- Strong interest in developing leadership skills
- Ability to pass a pre-entry written English and basic Mathematics test
- Ability to pass an oral interview
- Must be able to study in Day mode
- Must not be more than 25 years of age
Applicants should also have the following:
- At least two letters of reference or recommendation should be from a Headteacher of their previous school and a second letter from a Community leader.

How it Works
Qualified applicants should visit the Enrollment office at Cavendish University, Corner of Great North and Washama Roads, with originals and photocopies of their Grade 12 certificates and ‘A’ level results (where applicable) and ask to fill out the Cavendish Excellence Scholarship application. During these visits, applicants will be scheduled for a pre-entry test and an oral interview.
Cavendish University will initially offer scholarships in degree programs in the following two faculties:
- Medicine and
- Law

Receive Final Approval & Start Studying
Once you have completed the necessary process, including the English and Mathematics test and oral interview, an Enrollment Officer will contact you with the Scholarship Committee’s final decision.
Approved applicants will need to register for classes through their Enrollment Officer officially and can begin their studies immediately.
Applicants who are not approved can still study at Cavendish University by following the standard enrollment process.
