The executive Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, said that the Lagos of everyone’s dream will come to pass if Lagosians hold on to God and intercede to him in prayers.
Mr. Sanwo-Olu made the statement on Monday while addressing the need for Nigerians to soak into prayers, for immediate eradication of the pandemic that has killed over 1000 Nigerians.
During the ground opening ceremony of the Second Session of the 34th Synod of the Diocese of Lagos, the governor urged all legosians to strive to remember the state and the country, Nigeria in prayers. Torixus reports
According to The News Agency of Nigeria(NAN), the Second Session of the 34th Synod was held at Our Saviours Church, Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.
“Service to the Lord is serving, loving and supporting one another. For us to build a greatest Lagos, we certainly need to hold on to God and pray.
“We certainly need to use God as an instrument of contact for all of us,” he said.
He, however, appreciated the frontline health workers who had been working tirelessly during the pandemic.”. Mr Sanwo-Olu said.
He appreciated the given hands of the church for immensely participating in many activities during the period of lockdown, including series of donations to Nigerians in helping them during the hard time imposed by Covid-19.
