The majority of these Scholarships are fully funded and are available to talented Equatorial Guinea students willing to kick-start their undergraduate education and further their postgraduate studies in internationally accredited universities in the USA.

The Scholarships listed below are not only open to Equatorial Guinea students but also to African students and students from non-EEA/EU countries.

1. Africa MBA Fellowship – Stanford Graduate School of Business

Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) is glad to contribute to Africa’s human and economic development by educating leaders committed to making an impact on the continent.

Through the Stanford African MBA Fellowships Program, GSB pays tuition fees (approximately US$140,000) of Equatorial Guinea students with financial need to obtain an MBA at Stanford GSB. Up to eight fellowships will be awarded annually.

2. Master of Nonprofit Organizations Scholarships (Mandel Scholarship, USA)

Full-time applicants for the Master of Nonprofit Organizations (MNO) degree at Mandel Center for Nonprofit Organisations, Case Western Reserve University, stand a chance to qualify for a merit-based full-tuition scholarship.

A GMAT score is required as part of the application process, so when registering for the GMAT, applicants should request that the scores be sent to Case Western Reserve University (Code WTJF110). All finalists for this award will be required to participate in an interview process.

3. LLM Scholarship in Democratic Governance and Rule of Law – Ohio Northern University, USA.

The LLM Scholarship in Democratic Governance and Rule of Law is a fully-funded, one-year program of study designed for young lawyers from emerging democracies.

This Scholarship is open to lawyers with two to five years of experience practicing in the public sector whose first law degree was earned from a law school outside the U.S.

4. Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program

The Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program scholarship provides annual awards to cover the cost of completing a master’s degree or its equivalent.

World Bank Scholarships Grant award period 1 year, but if the academic program is longer than one year, it may be renewed for a second consecutive year or a portion thereof.

5. International Students Academic Merit Scholarship – East Tennessee State University

The International Students Academic Merit Scholarship is currently open to new Equatorial Guinea students seeking a graduate or undergraduate degree.

The scholarship covers 50 percent of the total in and out-of-state tuition and maintenance fees only.

furthermore, the award is available for; Eight semesters for undergraduate recipients, Five semesters for recipients seeking a Master’s degree, or commensurate with the length of the program, and Eight semesters for doctoral students, or commensurate with the length of the program.

This Scholarship can also be applied to summer semesters.

6. Duke Law School Scholarships

Duke Law School has established two half-tuition merit scholarships for extremely well-qualified Equatorial Guinea students to attend the LLM program.

The amount granted for the Duke Law School Scholarships is approximately USD $59,000.

7. Fulbright Program offers full scholarships in USA for international students to study a Master’s or PhD degree. 

The Fulbright Foreign Student Program is a Scholarship Program for Foreign Students to study Master’s and Ph.D. Degrees in the United States of America.

The scholarships can also be awarded for non-degree postgraduate studies, the Fulbright Foreign Student Program enables young professionals and artists from abroad to study in the United States at U.S. universities or other academic institutions.

The grant covers tuition fees, textbooks, airfare, a living stipend, and health insurance.

Dean’s Prize Scholarships offer up to full tuition awards to Equatorial Guinea students of exceptional merit to study International Relations, Economics, and Business Management / Finance in the USA.

9. American Speech-Language Hearing Foundation Scholarships

Each year the American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation (ASHF) offers several scholarship and grant competitions to graduate students and researchers in the field of communication sciences and disorders.

Up to ten Graduate Student Scholarships are available annually for master’s or doctoral level Equatorial Guinea students studying audiology or speech-language pathology.

Scholarships amount: $2,000 and $5,000 respectively

Two $2,000 Student Research Grants are available annually to masters and doctoral students. One for a one-year study in Early Childhood Language Development, and the other for a one-year study in Clinical or Rehabilitative Audiology.

Up to seven $5,000 New Investigator Research Grants are available each year to individuals who have received their latest degree (master’s or doctoral level) in communication sciences and disorders within the last five years and are starting their research careers.

One $5,000 Speech Science Research Grant is available in alternate years to an individual who has completed a doctoral degree within the last five years and who proposes a one-year study in the area of speech science.

10. Canada Scholarships and Awards for International Undergraduate Students – Trent University, Canada.

Trent International Program (TIP) is currently offering a limited number of highly competitive renewable Full and Tuition scholarships to Equatorial Guinea students resuming college in September 2024.

These scholarship awards are tenable for up to four years of an Honours degree if the recipients maintain a “B” average each year.

Trent International Full Scholarships Amount: CDN$32,000 per academic year (8 months). The scholarship covers international tuition, ancillary fees and may also include books, health insurance, room and board (from Sept-April), and/or living expenses.

This Scholarship is based on outstanding academic achievement, community and/or international service, an excellent record of extra-curricular activities and leadership, as well as an assessment of financial need.

International Tuition Scholarships Amount: CDN$20,000 per academic year, which covers international tuition, ancillary fees, and health insurance (from Sept-April).

This Scholarship is based on high academic achievement, community and/or international service, an excellent record of extra-curricular activities, and leadership.

International Levy Tuition Scholarship Amount: CDN$20,000 per academic year which covers international tuition, ancillary fees, and health insurance (from Sept-April).

International Awards: Trent grants up to CDN$7,000 to students from Equatorial Guinea with high academic achievement and a good record of extra-curricular activities.

11. Pilot International Foundation Scholarships

Pilot International Foundation Scholarships are offered to undergraduate and graduate students from Equatorial Guinea studying in the US. A List of Pilot International Foundation Scholarships includes;

1. Maria Newton Sepia Memorial Scholarship awards up to $1,000 to graduate students planning careers with children with brain-related disorders or disabilities.

2. Pilot International Foundation Scholarship offers assistance to undergraduate students preparing for careers working directly with people with disabilities or training those who will.

3. Pilot International/Lifeline Scholarship awards up to $500 to part-time students and up to $1,000 to full-time students preparing for a second career, re-entering the labor market, or obtaining additional training in their current fields.

12. PEO International Peace Scholarship Fund for Women

P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship (IPS) Fund was established to provide scholarships for female Equatorial Guinea students to pursue graduate study in the United States and Canada.

The Roothbert Fund USA Scholarship Program offers grants for undergraduate or graduate study at accredited colleges or universities in the US.

This Scholarship is open to Equatorial Guinea students residing in the US who are “motivated by spiritual values,” and works to foster fellowship among them.

These grants are supplementary amounts averaging $2,000-$3,000.

The MIC-Canadian Private Overseas Online Program (MCPOP)” awards scholarships to Equatorial Guinea students for Distance Learning Executive MBA and MPA degrees, on the basis of academic and professional merit.

15. NextGen Scholarships for International High School Students in the USA

The NextGen Scholarship Fund is a local (Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia) program that was created for international students and non-citizens who hope to obtain higher education in the United States. This Scholarship offers one annual award to a qualified and outstanding high school senior or a current college student at a two-year or four-year college.

Scholarship Amount: $1,000 will be awarded each Fall.

16. Promoting Girls’ Education Scholars Program

The Center for Universal Education at The Brookings Institution, USA,  is currently accepting applications for Global Scholars Program to promote girls’ education in Equatorial Guinea.

Applicants selected for the fellowship will receive a living stipend of USD $5,000 a month, paid to house for the 4-month term, and round-trip travel expenses.

17. The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program
