The first two Evans Scholars enrolled at Northwestern University in 1930. Since then, over 10,830 outstanding young men and women have graduated as Evans Scholars. This year, I enrolled 985 Evans Scholars in 18 major universities nationwide.
Evans Scholarship Houses
The Foundation sends Evans Scholars to 18 major universities across the country. They live and work together in the community; each section chooses its officers, leads social and service activities, and participates in programs on campus.
Evans Scholars Foundation believes community life is essential because it helps scholars develop strong leadership and communication skills. The support system and the sense of empowerment promoted in the scholarship houses are responsible for the program’s graduation rate, which is 95%, and the tremendous success of the alumni.
