At the University of Maryland Medical School, application for a program is opened for all students, whether you are a national or international student.

And to apply or get admitted for any of the programs, you must meet the requirements for admission to the Faculty of Medicine and following the following processes.
Once they have received all required materials from you, they will verify your application and send it to the schools for which you have indicated an interest.
- First, you must complete the AMCAS application via the AMCAS website www.aamc.org (then click on AMCAS for Students) and indicate an interest in the University of Maryland School of Medicine. After that, you can then visit the University of Maryland School of Medical Admissions Office to access secondary add-ons and MD / MPH.
- Then, once your certified application is received through AMCAS, you will be emailed a secondary application that is to be completed and returned along with your $80.00 payment.
- Then, you are expected to submit your MCAT Scores which should be high.
- You will also be expected to submit your academic records or qualifications including 3 letters of recommendation. Note these letters must address your interest and qualifications in the MPH program, or an additional letter may be sent directly to the MD / MPH program.
Note, the school requires one year each of Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, and English as prerequisite courses.
Also, The AMCAS primary application must be submitted by November 1st. Transcripts must be sent to AMCAS by November 15th.
The secondary application is due by December 15, and all required letters of recommendation must be received no later than January 15.
Please Note: If you are applying to the MD/Ph.D. program, the deadline for the secondary application and the letters of recommendation is November 15.
