  • Send your official transcripts from all colleges or universities previously attended to the Admissions Office. Transcripts must be sent regardless of whether credit was earned.

Grand View University offers five graduate programs created to fit the unique needs and interests of our students. Graduate study at GV contain the full range of academic excellence and real world experience. 

To gain admission into the graduate program is determine by Graduate Committee. As an applicant, you need to meet all the admission criteria so that your file will be reviewed by the faculty member(s) who represent each department.

  • You need to send an official transcript of a baccalaureate degree earned from a regionally accredited institution.
  • You need to have a validated minimum undergraduate grade-point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. (Students below 3.0 will be considered for provisional acceptance.)
  • Complete the application for admission
  • Include a statement of purpose with an application that addresses:
  • Your interest in the program, including the identification of short-term and long-term career goals.
  • The skills and experiences you will contribute to the program.

So, in addition to the standard undergraduate or graduate admissions requirements, international student must also provide:

  • Complete a free online application for admission.
  • Submit official transcripts. Applicants who have not earned an associate’s or bachelor’s degree must submit official high school (secondary school) transcripts.
  • Grand View University will not require Official SAT or ACT scores as an international student before considering you for admission.
  • Proof of English proficiency, if applicable
  • Completed and signed International Student Financial Declaration Form for undergraduate and graduate programs
  • Bank statement from a certified bank or government sponsorship letter verifying financial support for one academic year

Scholarships are forms of assistance the Johnson and Wales University offers their students as a way of encouraging, especially the outstanding ones.

These scholarships are merit-based scholarships, which means, it covers both their tuition fees, accommodation, and textbook.

Apart from merit-based scholarships, they also have scholarships offered by federal, state, or outside sources.

Below are some of the scholarships and their eligible requirements:

#1. International Presidential Scholarship

This merit-based, full-tuition scholarship is awarded for exemplary academic achievement to a limited number of qualified students.

To be eligible for this Johnson and Wales University scholarship, you have to have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or a “B” as an incoming international student

#2. JWU California Scholarship

To qualify for this scholarship, you must demonstrate the highest level of academic achievement. Also, must be a legal resident of the State of California with strong academics.

In addition, you must be an incoming freshman or an undergraduate transfer student with less than 30 college credits (24 credits beginning Fall 2024). Also, you are required to have a minimum 3.0 GPA in a College Prep Track.

#3. Life Scholarship

Life Scholarship is for students with a high level of academic achievement, are in the top 30% of their high school class.

You must have an SAT score of 1100 or 24 ACT at a minimum and a 3.2 GPA or higher (on a 3.0 scale) to qualify. Also, you must be a South Carolina resident with strong academics

#4. Presidential Academic Scholarship

This is another merit-based scholarship. This scholarship is designed for students who demonstrate a strong level of academic achievement and have outstanding high school academic records as an incoming student.

#5. Georgia Hope Scholarship (TE)

This JWU scholarship is for students who have a strong level of academic achievement. To be eligible, you must have a 3.0 GPA in a College Prep Track or a 3.2 GPA in a Tech Prep Track.
