The Association of Commonwealth Universities is inviting applications for the ACU Wighton Fellowship in Engineering for the year 2024.
Applicants must be professional or academic staff working in the engineering department of an ACU member university in a low or middle-income country.
ACU Wighton was established in 1959; ACU Wighton has awarded about 34,000 people; 26,000 have held awards funded by the UK government, managed by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the United Kingdom (CSC).
The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) provides the CSC’s Secretariat, which is responsible for all matters concerning selection, academic studies, and evaluation.

- International economy return airfare and other travel costs

Eligibility:
To be eligible for the scholarship, you must meet the following criteria;
Applicants must be professional or academic staff working in the engineering department of an ACU member university in a low or middle-income country.
The ACU cannot arrange fellows’ attachments, travel or accommodation, nor can it work out itineraries for them.
Applicants should be aware that ACU Fellowships allow for small scale conference or course attendance within a wider programme, but for applications where the primary or sole purpose is the attendance of a conference or course will not be considered.
Nationality:
Applicants from low or middle-income countries are eligible to apply for this fellowship programme.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have their previous degree.
English language Requirements: Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.
How to Apply:
Applicants must submit a proposal for the fellowship and provide proof of support from the host institution and the Executive Head of their home institution.
You have to submit a 1,000-2,500 word report within three months of the fellowship ends.
