Google Australia and New Zealand Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship

Google’s ongoing commitment to promote Anita’s vision to revolutionize our understanding of technology and eliminate the barriers that prevent women and minorities from entering the fields of computing and technology, is pleased to announce the Anita Borg grant from Google Australia and New Zealand.

Scholarships will be awarded based on the strength of the academic background and the demonstrated leadership of the candidates. Among the candidates, a group of women finalists will be selected at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

The finalists must be registered as students at a Canadian university. All Fellows and Finalists will be invited to visit Google for a networking retreat that will include workshops with a series of speakers, panelists, workshops and social events.

Denys Holland Scholarship for Financially Challenged Students at University College London, UK

The Denys Holland Foundation offers scholarship opportunities for students with financial difficulties who wish to pursue undergraduate studies at University College London. The Denys Holland Scholarship is intended to help undergraduate students from all countries who, without the support of the scholarship, ARE unable to obtain the necessary funds to study at the UCL and who could demonstrate their intention to participate to obtain the best part of the activities put forward by UCL and the Students’ Union. The candidate must be 25 years old or younger at the beginning of their studies.

Scholarship Worth: The scholarship costs £ 9,000 per year for three years, subject to satisfactory academic progress. Beneficiaries may choose to use all or part of the grant to cover their costs. The rest is paid to the beneficiary in the form of a maintenance price. Macquarie Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships

The Macquarie International Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship offers a partial scholarship to exceptional students who wish to study for a first or third-degree on the campus of Macquarie North Ryde University.

Scholarship Worth: The amount of the scholarship varies up to AUD 10,000 and will be applied to tuition costs. It is not renewable.

The Holland Scholarships are funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science of the Netherlands, as well as by several Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences.

The Trent International Program (TIP) offers a limited number of highly competitive full scholarships and renewable tuition fees for international university students who are not citizens or permanent residents of Canada.

These scholarships are valid for up to four years of an honors degree if a “B” average is maintained for each year and are available to students who enter the University in September.

International awards: Trent awards up to C $7,000 to students with excellent academic results and a good reputation for extracurricular activities.

International Undergraduate Student Scholarships

The University of Dayton offers merit-based scholarships to selected international undergraduate candidates. Candidates receive consideration for these scholarships based on high school performance and the ACT or SAT scores. Prizes are awarded for two semesters of an academic year. A beneficiary must be registered full-time at the University (minimum of 12 credit hours) and will have the award for eight full-time periods, provided that they maintain at least 3.0 (B) the cumulative average and participate in extracurricular activities sponsored by the college.

Islamic Development Bank Scholarship Programme

The Islamic Development Bank Scholarship Program offers educational opportunities for financially disadvantaged Muslim youth from non-IDB countries. The program allows them to carry out undergraduate studies and train them in specific areas to improve their social and economic conditions.

It also helps them preserve their cultural and religious identities and make a significant contribution to the development of their communities and countries. As part of the program, students must repay the loan upon graduation and employment, in easy installments, to a trust fund (Waqf) established by the IDB in each non-member country that benefits from the program.
