What is the Time Frame?

During the DAT practice test, you will be given 4 hours and 15minutes to complete all sections of the test. There is an additional 45minutes but it is optional and is been used at the beginning or end of the test.

How Is Dental Admission Test Scored?

Scores for DAT ranges from 1-30 because they are scored based on the number of correct responses. Therefore, candidates are not penalized for guessing on a question. There are no passing or falling scores; a scale score of 17 typically signifies average performances on national basis.

Also note that some questions on the test are experimental and are not scored. The data collected on the unscored questions will be used to determine whether the question is appropriate for use in future test construction.
