So if your vision for 2024 is to attend college, this KFC Scholarship is right for you. It would be nice if you go ahead to find out how to be eligible to apply for this scholarship.

About KFC Colonel’s Scholar Program

The KFC Colonel’s Scholars program was established in 2006, one year before the global recession and it depended on a less certain business climate than originally expected. The success of KFC brand owner Yum in the Chinese market temporarily declined in December 2012, due to a problem with its chicken supply.

As of December 2012-February 2013, the KFC Colonel’s Scholars Scholarships which is KFC Corporation’s college scholarship program went into abeyance. KFC Colonel’s Scholars awards were handed out annually by the KFC Foundation, the company’s conduit for its philanthropic efforts, but the foundation has dissolved the program entirely.

Notwithstanding these financial obstacles, the KFC Colonel’s Scholars program has given away over $10 million in scholarship aid during its lifetime, carrying on Harlan Sanders’ legacy of shrewd marketing.

The KFC scholarship was modified in 2013 to primarily focus on helping their restaurant hourly employees and shift managers pursue their education through the REACH-KFC Educational Grant Program.

The REACH Educational Grant Program helps employees at participating KFC U.S. restaurants pursue their dreams of going to college. Employees of any age, any position, pursuing any degree would receive cash awards to help them attend the accredited four-year or two-year college.

The grants can also be used at trade/vocational schools and for graduate study. The REACH Educational Grant Program provides winning employees tuition assistance, reimbursement for qualifying education expenses, and access to discounted textbooks.
