#2. WWF Prince Bernhard Scholarships For Nature Conservation

WWF Prince Bernhard Scholarships are available for pursuing formal studies or professional training awarded in the field of Nature Conservation or associated disciplines directly relevant to the delivery and promotion of conservation.

#3. Academic Mobility for African Sustainable Development/AMAS Master and PhD Scholarships,

#4. Crick African Network African Career Accelerator Postdoctoral Research Awards

Crick African Network African Career Accelerator Postdoctoral Research Awards are available to pursue the Postdoctoral program.

Thematic areas of the research must focus on infectious diseases of poverty with an emphasis on Tuberculosis, Malaria, and HIV/AIDS, but also extending to neglected tropical diseases or non-communicable diseases. Six (6) fellowships will be awarded a value of up to approximately £130,000.

#6. Edufrica Home and Overseas Scholarship

The EduAfrica Scholarship is an annual scholarship open to students in undergraduate, master’s, MBA, and Ph.D. programs within and outside Africa.

Scholarship Award includes: 

  • Three $250 scholarships for Africa-based students: One shall be awarded each at undergraduate, masters and Ph.D. levels.
  • Three $500 scholarships for overseas-based students: We will strive to distribute the scholarships between different geographical locations. Students studying in any continent besides Africa can apply.
  • One $250 hardship fund is open to overseas-based African students who run into unexpected hardships and need support to pull through. Priority will be given to students in their final year of study or those undertaking big projects.

#7. African Academy of Sciences African Postdoctoral Training Initiative Fellowship Programme

The fellowship is available to pursue a Postdoctoral program. APTI fellows will lead important research programs in their home countries and institutions.

After completing the two-year postdoctoral fellowship, trainees will be provided 50% salary support for an additional two years to assist their transition into independent researchers.

#8. RUFORUM Postdoctoral Fellowships for African

Fellowships are available to pursue a Postdoctoral program. 

The Award for this call is a maximum of US$60, 000 per fellowship and will cover:

  • Stipend: $26,400 – equating to $1,200 for 10 months in Year 1 and 12 Months in Year 2.
  • Research funds: $26,700 to support the research activities of the Post-Doctoral Team, which will include Ph.D. and Masters  Students to conduct research under the supervisor of the Fellow.
  • Special mentor support: $3,600 to be retained by RUFORUM to support the Mentorship Programme. The cost of the mentor covers bench fees, hosting fees, and the cost of the mentor visiting some of the research facilities and participating in convening along with the Post-Doctoral Fellows.

#10. Fully Funded African Biomedical Engineering Mobility (ABEM) Postgraduate Scholarships

These Scholarships are available to pursue master’s as well as doctoral degree programs. The ABEM individual scholarships cover one round trip flight ticket, visa costs, participation costs (which may include tuition fees, registration fees, and service fees), comprehensive insurance coverage (health, accident, and travel) and a monthly subsistence allowance from which scholarship recipients are to cover accommodation expenses.
