About NCLEX Scholarships
What is NCLEX?
The acronym NCLEX stands for National Council Licensure Examination. However, it is a test that every state regulatory board uses to determine if a student is fully prepared to become licensed as an entry-level nurse.
However, the exams are divided into two parts which are the NCLEX-RN and the NCLEX-PN, and the test you choose to take depends on the role that you seek.
NCLEX-RN
The National Council Licensure Examination NCLEX-RN aims to determine if it’s safe for you to begin practice as a level one nurse.
It is completely different from any test you took in nursing school while nursing. However, the NCLEX-RN tests application and analysis using the nursing knowledge you learned in school.
Therefore, you will be tested on how to use critical thinking skills to execute nursing roles to become a registered nurse.
However, the National Council Licensure Examinations (NCLEX) helps to determine whether aspiring nurses in states across the U.S. have the knowledge required for effective practice. The minimum number of questions for the NCLEX–RN is 75, and the maximum is 265.
NCLEX-PN
For Vocational nurses (LVNs), the most entry-level of the licensed nursing positions and same applies to the Practical nurses(LPNs). Also, the minimum number of questions for the NCLEX–PN is 85 and the maximum 205.
