The Wildcat Excellence Award is a highly competitive tuition scholarship offered annually to a select number of Arizona resident high school graduates attending college for the first time to undergo undergraduate studies at the University of Arizona, USA.
$1,500 to $11,000 is awarded annually, renewable for three additional years (eight semesters) for fall and spring semesters only based on academic year renewal requirements.
This wildcat excellence award is available at the University of Arizona Online programs. Arizona Students who complete their undergraduate degree in less than 8 consecutive semesters may use the remaining semester(s) award toward graduate tuition (only) at UA in the semester immediately following graduation.
Wildcat excellence award offers are based on high school merits. Students selected for this scholarship will receive an offer with their admission acceptance letter.

Eligibility

- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be an Arizona permanent resident
- Students must be pursuing a first Bachelor’s Degree for Undergraduate studies.
- Verify your lawful presence as described under Arizona’s Proposition 300. Semesters without lawful presence verified will be lost and counted against the scholarship’s total eight semesters.
- The recipients must maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and completes 30 credits each academic year.
- Award amounts vary based on the student’s grade point average and ACT/SAT scores, the number of awards offered varies annually and is dependent on the number of qualified applicants.
- The award must be used beginning the fall semester.

The deadline for submitting the Wildcat Excellence Scholarship is 1st May.
