#1. AICP SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

This scholarship started in 1985, the Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals (AICP) gives three tuition scholarships of $1,500 twice each year to undergraduate and graduate students who plan to work in the insurance industry.

Eligible majors include actuarial mathematics, economics, finance, and mathematics, statistics, and risk management. Winners must take at least two courses at accredited U.S. school with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher throughout the funding cycle.

#2. BARRY M. GOLDWATER SCHOLARSHIP

Deadline: January 27th

Regarding his 30-year tenure with the U.S. Senate, Congress invented the Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship to provide $7,500 annually.

As one of the most competed for math scholarships, the scholarship only accepts full-time sophomores and juniors holding a minimum 3.0 GPA at accredited two- and four-year institutions.

United States citizens must pursue research careers in mathematics, engineering, or natural sciences, including physics, geology, and psychology.

#3. BERNARD HARRIS MATH AND SCIENCE SCHOLARSHIP

Deadline: April 15th

Propagated by ExxonMobil, the famous Bernard Harris Math and Science Scholarship grants $5,000 annually to two male and two female minority students who are accepted into four-year bachelor’s programs in mathematics, science, and engineering.

Qualification criteria require self-identifying as African American or even Hispanic, being a graduating senior in a Council of Great City School, displaying academic achievement with an unweighted high GPA above 3.0, and being active in community service, and other required criteria.

#4. CLAUDE B. HART MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Deadline: April 1st

Winston Salem Foundation (WSF) in North Carolina administers the Claude B. Hart Memorial Scholarship to recognize college-bound seniors at Elkin High School who have chosen fields in mathematics, computer science, or engineering.

The winner earns $1,000 yearly for $4,000 in total to afford to attend accredited senior U.S. colleges. Qualified 12th graders must need financial assistance, demonstrate academic promise with a 2.5 GPA or better CGPA, and show leadership in school and community involvement.

#5. CURTIS E. HUNTINGTON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Deadline: June 16th

Majors in mathematics could earn $2,000 from Actuarial Foundation through the Curtis E. The Huntington Memorial Scholarship, respects and honors the Life Insurance VP who happily served as head till 2013.

It is reserved for full-time college seniors with outstanding mathematical ability and a minimum 3.0 GPA who have passed at least one SOA actuarial exam to pursue this risk management profession. There is the Actuary of Tomorrow Scholarship or Caribbean Scholarship available.

#6. FRANCIS J. FLYNN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Deadline: March 15th

Devoted and committed to preparing “Better Men and women for a Better World,” the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity contributes over $400,000 yearly through scholarship funds, which includes the Francis J. Flynn Memorial Scholarship.

Each Spring, this program seeks active TKE members earning bachelor’s degrees in mathematics or/and education with an average 2.75 GPA. Favor and concentration is given to Tekes from the Theta-Sigma Chapter at St. John’s University, but any chapter leaders are welcome to apply.

#7. GEOFFREY R. LAIRD MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Deadline: February 1st

Community Foundation of Northern Illinois (CFNIL) started the Geoffery R. Laird Memorial Scholarship for $1,000 to appreciate the Boylan High School senior who tragically died at seventeen.

Eligible men must be 23 years old or younger, reside in Winnebago County, plan to enter a four-year college, chase a major in math or science, excel with a cumulative GPA above 3.0, and need financial assistance.

Applicants must include a 500-word essay in their documents, highlighting obstacles the students have overcome.

#8. KIA MOTORS AMERICA STEM SCHOLARSHIP

Deadline: March 9th

The United Negro College Fund (UNCF) merged with Kia Motors America to give a $5,000 STEM Scholarship for underrepresented minorities studying math, chemistry, physics, statistics, engineering, computer science, biology, and related fields.

To be eligible, candidates must attend UNCF-affiliated colleges like Morehouse and Wilberforce, reach junior or senior status, hold United States citizenship, and carry a minimum no less “B” average. Attention is given to permanent residents of California.

#9. MARY RHEIN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

As a national mathematics society, Mu Alpha Thet gives the Mary Rhein Memorial Scholarship for $5,000 annually to remember the protracted Ohio math teacher’s 22-year leadership.

Qualified winners must be graduating high school seniors or community college transfers, excel in math, act as chapter ambassadors, and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA. Other grants for math majors include Kalin Award, the Paul R. Goodney Scholarship, and the Sallie Scudder Memorial Scholarship.

#10. Mathcounts Alumni Scholarship

This opportunity is valued at $3,000; Mathcounts Foundation’s Alumni Scholarship is awarded annually to outstanding high school seniors who participated in the program during the sixth, seventh, or eighth grade.

Qualified alumni must pursue an associate or bachelor’s, matriculate full-time at accredited U.S. colleges, take at least one or more math courses, participate in The National Math Club, and write a maximum 1,000-word essay about the impact of their Mathcounts education.

#11. MATH IN MOSCOW SCHOLARSHIP

The U.S.  Mathematical Society (AMS) offers the Math in Moscow Scholarship for $10,600 yearly to send U.S. citizens abroad to Russia for semester-long and mathematically intensive programs.

Five winners are chosen to study yearly at the Independent University of Moscow, the Higher School of Economics, or the Moscow Center for Continuous Mathematical Education.  Feasible applicants must be skilled problem solvers majoring in mathematics or computer science at accredited American-based institutions.

#12. MUTUAL OF OMAHA ACTUARIAL SCHOLARSHIPS

Deadline: October 20th

As Fortune five hundred (500) mutual insurance firm headquartered in Nebraska, Mutual of Omaha gives several $5,000 Actuarial Scholarships to encourage minority students of African American, Hispanic, Native American, or Asian root to become certified actuaries.

Qualified full-time undergraduates must attain 24+ college credits, pursue a math-related major, sustain a minimum overall GPA of 3.4, and pass at least one SOA actuarial exam.

#13. NCTM MATHEMATICS COURSEWORK SCHOLARSHIPS

The Dale Seymour Fund endows this opportunity.

Mathematics Course Work grant opportunity for $3,200 to certified students helping to work in Grades PreK-5, Grades 6-8, or Grades 9-12.

The benefit covers graduate-level and undergraduate education programs where the emphasis is placed on mathematics content.

#14. PAYZER FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The Experience Aircraft Association (EAA) always helps students’ dreams take flight with nine annual scholarships, which include the Payzer Family Scholarship Fund.

For this huge $5,000 merit-based award, applicants must be enrolled at an accredited U.S. institution to study engineering, mathematics, or physical/biological sciences.

#15. PHIL GUZA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Invented to honor an Aon client specialist who passed away in the World Trade Center attacks on September 11, 2011, Phil Guza Memorial Scholarship gives $1,000 to $3,000 yearly to deserving students entering higher education.

This funding helps college-bound high school seniors pursue baccalaureate study in mathematics or in science.

San Diego Foundation gives over $2.3 million yearly through 160 funds, including scholarships for mathematics like the Reuben H. Fleet Memorial Scholarship. #19. WALDEMAR J. TRJITZINSKY MEMORIAL AWARDS

This is since 1991, it’s long time the American Mathematical Society (AMS) has embedded the Waldemar J. The Trjitzinsky

Memorial Awards for $3,000 apiece to assist undergraduates sad about not completing their bachelor’s degree in mathematics or for financial reasons. The AMS randomly selects institutional members by regions to gift these one-time awards to needy young mathematicians.

And unlike most mathematics scholarships, there’s no application on the basis students being spotted by their department chair.
