The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Civil Engineering Scholarship (KTCCES) Awards Program

West Virginia Division of Highways Scholarships
Scholarship Worth: $12,000.00
To be eligible for this scholarship:
- The candidate must be enrolled in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Environmental).
- The applicant must be a West Virginia resident
- the candidate must have a minimum overall (cumulative) CGPA of 2.50 on a 4.00 scale.
Applications are being accepted between May 1st and June 30th of every year.
Candidates will be notified of the granting or not granting of a scholarship by August 15th of the application year.
George M. Binder – KSPE Scholarship
The scholarship is often awarded based on a candidate who can demonstrate that, through their engineering studies and extracurricular involvement, they can provide the greatest contribution to the engineering profession while maintaining a good grade point average nonetheless.
The following specific criteria will be demanded (note that financial need will not be considered)
- Overall GPA
- Civic and Volunteer Organizations. (Include any leadership positions.)

Society of Women Engineers Scholarship
Application System
The SWE Scholarship award Program is here to provide financial assistance to women studying engineering, engineering technology, and computer science.
In 2018, the SWE awarded approximately 238 new candidates and renewed scholarships valued at over $830,000.
A few main eligibility points:
- Only candidates who identify as female can apply.
- Undergraduate or community college candidates must be planning to study an Abet accredited program in engineering, technology, or computing in the upcoming academic year.
- The candidate must have intentions to attend full time (note that exceptions are made for reentry and non-traditional applicants, however ).
- A scholar must not be fully funded for tuition, fees, books, or equivalent.
- The candidate’s transcripts must be in English.
The American Council of Engineering Companies Scholarship (New York)
The American Council of Engineering Companies of New York (ACEC New York) designed this program to award several scholarships to undergraduate students intending to become consulting engineers someday.
At least twenty (20) scholarships will provide a stipend of $2,500, as well as two (2) scholarships of $5,000, which are always issued via check to be utilized only during the student’s final year of undergraduate study at one of the approved engineering schools in New York State.
