The University of Trinidad and Tobago
The University is a government-funded University of which the main campus is located on the island of Trinidad. There are 13 other campuses spread across the country.
Courses and programs on offer include arts, humanities, science and technology, health sciences, and law. They all lead to degrees at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate levels for international students.
Applications and Admission requirements
The Admission requirements depend on the program/course of study. These are some of the general admission requirements.
Undergraduate studies

Student Visa
All international students wishing to study at the University must obtain a student visa. This visa can be renewed annually at the Trinidad and Tobago immigration Division for the duration of the program.
The student visa requirements depend on your country of origin. Fresh students can contact the university’s International office for assistance. The office would guide you through the process after your admission has been confirmed.
Student Accommodation
Each of the 14 campuses of the University has different accommodation arrangements in place for international students. Students are advised to contact their chosen campus for the full details.
On-campus accommodation
Only the Eastern Caribbean Institute of Agriculture and Forestry campus of the University had provision for on-campus accommodation. All students registered who wish to study in this campus are eligible to apply.
However, preference would be given to students of Animal Health, Forestry, and Diploma in Agriculture due to practical lessons starting early in the morning.
Off-campus accommodation
Through the Student Development Unit, the University has a list of apartments for students wishing to rent apartments close to campus. The listed apartments on the list are not owned by the University. Landlords in the area submit the properties to the SDU.
So students are advised to do a thorough inspection before choosing to commit to paying rent. International students should be aware that the SDU has no legal agreement with these landlords. So, the University bears no responsibility if anything goes wrong.

The Tuition fees depend on the course of study. So they can vary according to program and years of study. Also, the fees are subject to adjustments at any time.
