Texas Exes Scholarship is awarded to hundreds of incoming freshmen and the current University of Texas students annually. The Texas Exes is the main scholarship administrator at The University of Texas at Austin.
This year, the association will be awarding up to $4.1 million to over 670 University of Texas students. The Texas Exes Scholarship comes in three forms: The forty Acres Scholars Program, Chapters & Networks, and Named Scholarships.
Forty Acres Scholars Program is awarded to groom and inspires young visionary leaders and assist them in using their talents for the good of society. This Scholarship is open to high school students with distinctive leadership roles who excelled academically and in extracurricular activities.
Chapter & Network Scholarship was established to keep alumni of the University of Texas connected to the school. Chapters are a locally based group that engages alumni through community service, student development, business networking, scholarship fundraising events, etc. Networks are international groups built around ethnicity, profession, or a strong liking to the University’s student organization that engages alumni through philanthropy and events.
There are over 100 chapters and networks all over the USA and the world that offers scholarship to students from their local community.
Named Scholarship was established by alumni, students, and university friends to memorialize loved ones and the school and honor special interest groups.

Texas Exes Scholarship 2020 is available to high school students/entering freshmen, current the University of Texas undergraduates, and graduates.
Host Nationality
Texas Exes Scholarship is awarded by the University of Texas, USA.
Eligible Nationality
Texas Exes Scholarship is majorly open to US citizens and USA permanent residents. Although, international students who applied to the University can be considered depending on the scholarship awarded.

Each Texas Exes Scholarship category has its unique worth. The benefits obtained from each scholarship are highlighted below.
Forty Acres Scholars Program
The benefits gotten from this scholarship include the following:
- Funding provides for tuition, a living stipend, and a book stipend.
- Enrichment activities consist of community components, professional experiences, and global experiences.
- Scholars also receive a rich college experience that provides academic, leadership, and cultural opportunities with a close group of fellow students.
- Forty Acres scholars also have unique connections to their Alma mater and alumni boy.
Chapter & Network Scholarship
The scholarship worth differs yearly, depending on the funds from investments. Most benefits are $1,000 to $2,000 but can be as little as $500 or as much as $10,000.
Named Scholarship
Each Named scholarship has its own criteria and is awarded according to the donor’s wishes.
Eligibility
The eligibility for Texas Exes Scholarship Application differs in the three Scholarship categories.
Forty Acres Scholars Program
To be eligible, candidates must:
- High school seniors are applying to the University of Texas.
- Be a US citizen or a permanent US resident at the time of application.
- In-state and out-of-state students.
- Excel academically.
- Possess strong communication skills.
Chapter & Network Scholarship
To be eligible, candidates must be:
- High school seniors are applying to the University of Texas.
- The current University of Texas students.
- Graduate students of the university.
Named Scholarship
To be eligible, candidates must be:
- High school seniors are applying to the University of Texas.
- The current University of Texas students.
- Graduate students of the university.
- Prospective transfer students.

Application Deadline
Application for the three categories of the Texas Exes Scholarships is currently closed. You can keep checking our website for updates.
The application deadline for the Entering Freshman Scholar Application is 15th February.
The Forty Acres Scholars Program deadline has been extended to 11th November.
Students currently enrolled at the University of Texas and those transferring to the school should submit their applications on/before 1st March.
The deadline for submission of the various Chapters’ applications is 15th February.
