The university finally received accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges in June 2017. This leaves the Florida Polytechnic university fully accredited and offers courses in so many areas of life.

Florida Polytechnic Digital Library

This is the first university in the world to have a digital library, a library with no single book. Students come out satisfied after being able to access tons and tons of information digitally. Basically, the students can access more than 135,000 digital titles on their choice of reader, tablet, or laptop.

Students still have access to librarians and a reference desk to receive tutoring, resources, and training to manage digital materials. Hard copy books can be requested on loan from libraries at Florida’s 11 other public universities.

Florida Polytechnic University Accommodation

There are two main residential halls in Florida polytechnic university.

Florida Polytechnic University accommodation is basically a home away from home as widely bragged by university management.

There are so many things that will make you comfortable in the two residences made available by the university.

Basically, you would find almost everything you find in your family house, apart from your mum and dad.

There is water. There is light; high-speed internet access and other basic hacks an average student would need.

Both buildings are steps away from the main classrooms and share similar amenities. This includes study lounges, computer centers, an entertainment room with billiards and ping pong, gaming areas and more.

All rooms are fully furnished and have an in-suite washer and dryer and high-speed internet access.

In addition to electronic access and security cameras, the residence halls have a resident assistant on each floor and Residence Hall II has an on-site director of student living.

RESIDENCE HALL I

From high-speed, wireless Internet access to a fitness facility and game room, the 90,000 square-foot Residence Hall I is designed with the modern student in mind.

Comfortable, secure, and fully furnished, the three- and four-bedroom suites have the latest technology and accommodations to make learning and living outside the classroom comfortable and easy. There are two bathrooms per four-person suite.

RESIDENCE HALL II

Similar to Residence Hall I, the newest residence hall boasts high-speed, wireless internet access, game rooms and common study areas on all five floors of the 135,000 square-foot building.

The majority of Residence Hall II is made up of “Semi-Suites,” two double bedrooms furnished with two twin beds, a desk, and a chair, sharing a common bathroom.

It was designed with a more traditional residence hall to feel and features twice as much communal space as Residence Hall I, encouraging students to leave their rooms and create their own social hub.

Residence Hall II also has the added advantage of Vestcor Living Learning Communities, created in partnership with the University.

Scholarship for Students Studying in a Florida Institution. Public and Private Institutions

The Adrian M. Sample Scholarship Trust provides scholarship assistance to residents of St. Lucie and Okeechobee County, Florida or residents of a foreign country.

Florida Polytechnic University Scholarships are also available for students pursuing a degree in Veterinary Medicine or Theology.

Eligibility Criteria for Florida Polytechnic University Tuition scholarship

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be a resident of St. Lucie or Okeechobee County, Florida (minimum of one year) or a resident of a foreign country
  • An active member of a Protestant church accepted for full-time enrollment to attend:
  • An accredited junior or community college in the State of Florida, or an accredited four-year college or university in the State of Florida or Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina.
  • Unmarried, unless a graduate student (working toward a Master´s or Doctorate) Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
  • Have a Declaration of Domicile completed and notarized by the Clerk of the Circuit Court?

Selection Process

The Scholarship Committee will consider these criteria in making their selection:

Method of Disbursement

Awards are paid in two installments and mailed directly to the college or university.

Scholarship Duration

The Adrian M. Sample scholarship is a renewable scholarship for a total of four years, but you must submit a renewal application each and every year to be considered for continued support.

To remain eligible for the Adrian M. Sample scholarship, you must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.

Revocation Scholarship

This scholarship may be revoked by the Board of Directors of the Sample Foundation for any of the following reasons:

Students placed on academic probation by the college may be retained on scholarship for one term (semester or quarter). If at the end of this term, they are not removed from probation by the college or university, the scholarship and future payments are automatically revoked.

Students suspended from the college for academic or other reasons will have their scholarship automatically revoked, effective the date of suspension even though they may be re-admitted by the college.

Any act of misconduct which would bring discredit to the image of the scholarship is subject to review by the Foundation Board of Directors and possible revocation.
