University of Kentucky Scholarships

Students wishing to attend the University of Kentucky often wonder how to best fund their studies. One of the best ways to determine if you can receive scholarships is to complete the FAFSA application as soon as possible.

With this form, you can quickly find out if you are eligible for federal or state funding. After completing the FAFSA, the next step is to study the scholarships offered in the UK.

Some of these University of Kentucky Scholarships are open only to students studying in specific fields, while others are available to all students at the University of Kentucky. We have arranged some of the University of Kentucky Scholarships for you.

About University of Kentucky

The University of Kentucky (UK) is a public mixed university located in Lexington, Kentucky. Founded in 1865 by John Bryan Bowman as Kentucky Agricultural and Mechanical College, this university is one of two land-grant universities (the other being Kentucky State University), the largest university or State University.

University of Kentucky scholarships

You will find below a list of the University of Kentucky scholarships:

“See Blue” Scholarship:

This scholarship is open to new first-time freshmen students who are residents of any state aside from Kentucky. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a minimum average of 3.0 points and receive at least 25 points for ACT. This award is a $7,000 scholarship per year. The scholarship can be extended for another three years.

Kentucky Heritage Scholarship:

This scholarship is open to incoming freshmen students who are considered out-of-state residents. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have an average of 3.5 points and receive at least 30 points for ACT. Students selected as recipients of this scholarship can receive a prize of $ 10,000 per year for up to four years.

William C. Parker Diversity Scholarship:

This scholarship includes prizes ranging from $ 5,000 to $ 15,000. Students are selected for this scholarship through a combination of leadership, grades, essays, community service, awards, and extracurricular activities. Transfer Excellent Scholarship:

This scholarship will reward students residing in KY with $ 1,000 in prizes. This award is only for students who wish to move to the UK with 24 credit hours and at least 3.3 points on average. Scholarships for Non-traditional Students:

The University of Kentucky recognizes that many students attending the UK are not traditional students. As such, he has created a number of scholarships tailored to the needs of these students. For example, the Child Care Grant aims to help students who are unable to afford child care while they are attending classes and completing requirements for school.

Other scholarships, such as the UK Woman’s Club Scholarship, are available to non-traditional female students. Full-time and part-time students who are not traditional students may be eligible for one of the non-traditional scholarships in the UK.
