The World Bank Summer Internship Program 2024 offers opportunities to innovative minds worldwide. This is to expose them to the World Bank’s core values and agenda through the mission and work of the World Bank Group in international development.

Worth of the Internship

Minimum Requirements

The following are the minimum requirements for eligibility for the Young Professionals Program.

First, you must be a Citizen of a member country of the World Bank Group Is born on or after October 1, 1986. Also, before applying, you must be a Ph.D. or Master’s degree holder with relevant work experience. Secondly, you should be Fluent in English. Global Secondment Program

The Global Secondment Program (GSP) is an opportunity for officials of a member country, regional agency, development bank, international organization, academia, or private enterprise to be appointed on a Special Assignment to the World Bank Group (WBG).

The program is for a specific period (not to exceed four years) for skills enhancement, knowledge sharing, strategic alliances, cultural exchange, and diversification to contribute to the Bank’s work. The GSP is often used as a pre-recruitment step, especially for nationalities of concern.

FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS

For participants on Special Assignment Appointments, the releasing organization pays the participant’s salary and benefits directly.

Participants holding Special Assignment Appointments do not receive stipends or grants directly from the World Bank Group.

Participants are eligible to attend WBG training.

The WBG will cover operational travel and overhead expenses.

Trust funds should not fund these appointments.
